Andy Who?

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andy Nunes and I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The purpose of this site is to provide a portfolio of my professional goals and to demonstrate how I am working towards these goals.

I grew up in Fremont, CA near the heart of Silicon Valley and was intrigued by technology at a young age. At the age of 10, I took an online HTML class and the next year a Javascript class at my local community college. This marked the beginning of my "learn by doing" education, which will continue forever more. Early on in high school, I began a volunteer internship at the Fremont Adult School in the IT Department, which blossomed into a 3-year employment which lasted until I graduated and left to study at Cal Poly.

During my first quarter at Cal Poly, I was introduced to programming in C and my interests branched from just IT support and web development to programming as well. Through my work and internship experience and coursework at Cal Poly, I have developed an interest in various areas of software engineering. These areas include testing automation; software security; build processes; development lifecycle models; dependency injection; and unit, integration, and system testing. Check out the links above to learn more about how I plan to pursue these interests presently and in the future.
